Madrid is a former mining town now with a business community consisting mainly of galleries and shops. Disney wanted it to be a more traditional town. They brought us a post office and gas station, put up street lights and changed many of the shops to different types of businesses.
This slide show shows the decorating process and what the town looked like for the shoot.
When you visit you will see the same buildings but offering fine art rather than hair dressing and candy. |
